Hi just wondering how i get 3 different grades of syrup in a 6 week sap season?
Here is my homemade boiler and a pic of the three lightest st one was the 1st sap and the darkest was the last.
I have only 7 taps in 4 trees and got 1 1/2 gallons11372113731137411375of syrup this year

It's totally normal to see a variation in the colour of your batches through the season. One thing to remember is that you can't make an accurate comparison between batches if they are in different sized containers and filled to different heights in the bottles. You want the same light conditions passing through the same size bottle if you want to properly compare syrup colours/grades. Great job on your sugaring this year! You've made a lot of syrup with just 4 trees. :)
