Think I've seen everything now! LOL As to your question, all I can recommend is to surf this site and the internet in general and look for ideas.

I love it! Use what you got. Maybe cut a hole in the seat ( like a potty chair) for better heat exchange!!!!!

Get another chair...............and a cooler.
You're gonna be there a while. May as well be comfortable.

LOL! Maybe pile more rocks around it to reflect more heat back. Something tells me that would be some smoky syrup.

Build something around the pit to block the wind better and something to focus the heat on the pan.

Put some more air in that left rear tire and be careful those Hondas get squirrelly with a trailer

Lol . it is not my setup. Stopped at a friends house that had borrowed some taps from me. I just had to get a pic. Can't get much more basic.

At least it was a chair and not a stolen shopping cart.
Not sure I'd want to trust that chair to hold my weight after that. :o

Now there's an improvement! A stolen shopping cart would expose the bottom of the pan to the fire.

Plus you could haul in all your firewood to get started. Dual purpose!! lol
Hope your buddy isn't in the hot seat with this new hobby. (somebody had to!!)

If that was my setup I know! once I turned my back the dog would lick the pan dry then I would have to make a emergency visit to the Vet to get the dogs burnt tongue looked at for third degree burns

2 chairs are better than one, double the evaporation rate, maybe a love seat.

If it was a shopping cart just imagine the posibilities. If you built the fire on the bottom shelf above the cart wheels and put the pan inside the cart you could always push it around really fast you get the draft going. Or if sitting still with a good draft and the ashes build up you only need to pull it back alittle and the ash pan is now clean. or if you run out of wood at the spot you are cooking at just move it to the Other stash of wood. Hell the posibilities are endless

All it needs is a leveling system for a steam table pan.

I've seen a pic of one being used as a grill. The panel in the back that swings up was propped and covered in hot dogs and hamburgers.
