Hello, I have a quick question for you experienced maplers, I came down with
the flu Wednesday, managed to get some help yesterday to collect the sap. Total of 65 gallons from 18 taps
still a good size snow pile left so had my help bury them in the snow,my plan was to boil today but this bug wont let go.
If the sap is kept cold will it last till tomorrow or Monday morning ? forecast is 18 tonite and cooler for a few days. Will
it be good or should I just dump it and wait for the next run?? Any suggestions ?

thanks BobMac

As long as it is covered good, in a snow bank, and in the shade it is my opinion it will last for a week or longer, however it will produce a darker finished product.
Best wishes at getting well soon!

Don't dump it . Keep it cold and out of the sun , it will last a week easy.

Don't dump it. Like the others said, keep it surrounded with snow as best you can and out of the sun and it will easily last a week, probably 2 if need be.

No worries. Like the others said, keep that sap buried in the snow and it will last. Feel better!

I have also boiled a week out, waiting for the weekend to catch up. As everyone says just keep it buried in the snow.
Thanks
