I don't know why but my first run had murky colored sap. and the syrup tasted different and I wouldn't sell it to anyone. I thought it was kind of weird when I was tapping and the sap was a murky white when it came out of the fresh tap hole I drill before I put the tap in. I confronted some producers around me that had the same problem and some didn't. I heard up in Vermont they where having the same problems. I just want to know how this happens.
