Wondering if I can re boil syrup after it has been put into jars. Only been in jars for 1 day.
Reason is that I never could get my hydrometer to float and did'nt want to make a bunch of sugar.
Syrup looks good and taste good , but really don't know where it stands. It boiled at 217 degrees for about 15 minutes but the hydrometer never came off the bottom of the holder.
Further investigation says that I should have boiled it longer.

Kitkat, how much did you make? If it's only a couple of jars just enjoy it as it is. But, to answer your original question, yes, you can reboil your syrup if you want to.

Thanks, I have twelve 12 oz jars. Probably just leave it and try boiling next batch longer.

Kitkat, that's more syrup than I thought you'd have. If it's too thin, make sure to keep it in the fridge as the sugar content may not be high enough to keep it from spoiling on the shelf. With that much syrup I might be inclined to reboil it, especially if fridge space is at a premium.
