Second major issue with new leader RO. Is anyone else having problems? Happy with my dealer, nick Wendel and service has been great, but two breakdowns is disappointing.

Sorry to hear of the breakdowns. What has happened with your machine? Were you, or the dealer able to make the repairs quickly?

Something was wrong in the electrical box on the machine when I first got it and it wouldn't attempt to even start. Got prompt service from leader and they ended up replacing the entire electric control box two days later. Now I have a seal broke on a re circulation motor. Nick is getting leader to send the replacement parts I need. Hopefully they arrive soon. Shouldn't run today but may get more Friday and Saturday. It is awesome seeing how little wood it takes to make syrup with ro'ed sap!

Hopefully the bugs will be worked out after this. And your right- adding an RO to any operation produces "awesome" results.

I was at Bascoms the other day and overheard that their new leader RO blew out the recirc seals as well. I also heard from someone in starksboro that has a neighbor with two new leader RO's and the mechanic has been up there a half dozen times for similar issues. I don't think you are the only one!

I guess they had an issue with a shaft that was too long that is causing excessive friction and heat. They overnighted a part and it is back to working. Hope it stays that way!
