Haven't seen discussion about this in awhile. I'm about out of test strips, which I've been pleased with. I just noticed litmus strips on Amazon for real cheap. Is anyone using them, and liking them? Pretty reliable?
Thanks

Can someone explain to me the reason for testing pH for RO cleaning?
We have been running and cleaning our RO for years and have never tested ph. Should we?

Depending on the type of membrane you have, depends on the ph that you meed to clean it at. I have a ph meter that I just dip into my wash tank. I check it a couple of times during the wash cycle.

You can get digital PH meters on eBay for $10. You can calibrate them with milk which has PH of 6.5.

I bought a meter a few years ago. Don't think I made it through the season and something screwed up on it so I couldn't calibrate it. So I just figure the strips are more foolproof for me.
