Many of the trees along the roads have buds popping so fast you can almost watch them. I am afraid the season will end shortly here.

Where's here? Your location says Michigan. Narrowing it down to a county would be helpful.

Lenawee County.

Thanks. I heard some silvers were budding in the next tier of counties above you, near Belleville, and some in Milan, but nothing north of that so far.

Wow, budding in Michigan, I haven't even gotten enough to make first boil. Should get enough by end of tomorrow and Sat. should run extremely well. Here we have only had 5 days above 35 degrees since Dec., the ground is frozen several feet deep and I still need snowshoes to get around in the woods. In fact, 2 days ago, I had 3 guys out working and they decided to skip the snowshoes. They left tracks 2-2.5' deep most places, yesterday they again donned the snowshoes. Some places here the snow is still 3' deep even without obvious drifts.

Plenty of snow on the ground in Gaylord and the trees have just thawed out. Temps this weekend are going to be in the single digits. We have a while yet before we have to worry about buds forming unless we have an unreal warmup.

Kalamazoo area. I haven't seen any buds even close to opening yet. The reds and silvers are very noticeable, but that's how the buds on those trees always look. they won't open for a while yet.
