Good luck to you. My maples already budded and flowered pulled my taps yesterday ended up with about 2 gallons of syrup.

Straight East of you 60 miles - off NW corner of Mille Lacs. 97 taps in, all hard maples.
Today cooked all 60 gallons collected so far. Sap was just over 2%.

The ground is still froze in the forest. For those trees, we could get some real good runs yet.
Will have to see what the weather does - light rain? But, cool nights!

You will need less than 2g per tap - I am still hoping to get at least 5g per tap.

25 gals. Collected yesterday for 50 taps. Have learned by errors about leaking taps, hanging bags, etc. Cooking off 25 gals. Today. I have been letting the syrup getting a little thicker, so end result has been a little less.
