OK everyone. Need help here. We have a bliwrt on our 2x4 Mason evaporator. It foes such a great job but too much air. Is there a switch to dial this down!?!?!

I have a Mason 2x6 with blower, it has a rheostat control that controls the fan speed.
You can also install a flat piece of metal over the fan intake opening and use it like a damper to control how much air enters the fan.
I am also considering adding a remote switch close to the front of the arch so I can shut the fan off for a couple seconds while adding wood to the firebox.
Sometimes it is like feeding a dragon.
Good luck,
Scott

Best and easiest is to partially cover the air intake of the blower. There are rheostats available, too.

Scott, I used a Woods 32555 Outdoor Remote this year to do what you're contemplating. Works great and only $12.50 on Amazon.

Jamie,
Thanks for the suggestion on the remote, I'll check it out.

I just wired in a switch at the fan to shut mine down when stoking. Lowes, or ace hardware will have one. Takes all of 20 minutes to install.

Well it only took a minute to call Bill Mason. Said a ceiling fan switch. Got one at Ace Hardware for about $3.00 it works great!
