Have a soldered pan that is leaking at a seam was going to take it over to the welfing shop and have him tig er up any issues????

Better resolder. With the solder that is in the seam you may not be able to get a clean weld plus the heat from welding will further melt the solder possibly creating a leak somewhere else.The key to any good seam welded or soldered is how clean its is. Not sure how good you can clean a soldered seam without taking it apart to get a good weld on it.

Most soldered pans are thinner than welded pans and would be even more difficult to weld.

I would think that with the modern tig welders that you could weld tissue paper thin SS metal.

Yes (certain) tig welders today will weld a soda can thickness if you're a good welder. BUT it would be VERY difficult to weld a seam that had solder around it. The solder would keep melting as you try to add the filler rod and contaminate the weld.
