Recently we revamped a whole bush, new super tight mainlines, laterals all shortened to 5 or less taps,probably about 150 saddles for 400 taps.Using the ZML saddles from Lapierre that use double wire ties to secure to the mainline.Anyway, needed more wire ties to finish tying the mains back in January, breakage percentage with the ties was an unbelievable 30-40%!!!!!!!!!!!. It must have been old stock or Friday night special, a reputable Ontario dealer that I will not name for fear of slander, but any wire ties in future will be from Leader, finished up with a jar full of them and breakage percentage was maybe 1-2%. You could tell the difference right away as the automatic twister took quite a bit more pull to start twisting Leader's ties.
