Stupid question but does concentrate boil slower through an evaporator vs unconcentrated sap? If so, I am boiling 10% concentrate , any idea how much slower it should boil? Thanks

No, the evaporation rate is basically the same, however your syrup output rate will be considerably higher boiling concentration than boiling sap.

yes true. so your boiling rate will remain 40, 50 , 60 gph but instead of drawing off 1-2 gallons an hr you might be drawing off 5 or 6 or 10 gph or more depending on the concentration of the sap and size of your rig. So it will seem like you are boiling 5-10 more gph.
