Remotely monitor your evaporator

I came across an easy way to keep an eye on my evaporator while boiling. It's also free (for now) if you have to two IOS devices (iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc) I use my iPhone and kid's old iPod. The app is called Manything and allows you to use one IOS device as a viewer and the other as the camera. The cool thing is you can manipulate the camera remotely (turn flash on, change settings, etc. ). I do it over wifi and it works pretty well.

Here is the camera.. I use a clamp to suspend it in the right place.

Cool idea. I use propane and auto draw off so I find myself walking away from my evaporator often..... too often.
