How many taps do you have on the line? If the sap is racing down the line, then you have a leak or a major run. The air bubbles at the top of the line will be going slower than at the bottom if the system is tight.

Here's a little video of mine. Had 30" of vac and only about half the 20 trees running.

Like psparr said, if the sap is racing down the line you have a leak. You can usually trace it back to where the sap starts racing. It could be a loose tap, squirrel chew, hollow tree or loose line at a tap or fitting.

It looks to me like psparr has a leak at the hook connector near the bottom. Little air bubbles appear just as the tubing leaves the fitting. Air in a tubing lateral will move slower than the stream of bubbles that look to start at that green hook connector. That is how you find a leak, try pushing the tubing onto the second barb better.

Those bubbles were in the line just couldn't see them good through the blue tubing. I'm pulling 30" on that baby and loving it!

Walk up the line and watch the size and quantity of bubbles. When you get to a tee that has a lot more and smaller bubbles than normal, that's usually where the problem is.

Havnt had much of any good weather for the sap to run, but have had a few days that were above freezing enough to alteast start some flow. Got my first 2 3/16 lines setup and was wondering if i was supposed to have all the air bubbles in the line or if they are signs of leaks?

Along with sap, maple trees produce some amount of gases normally. Not all bubbles in tubing are from leaks.

Chase Family, that's what my two 3/16 natural vacuum lines look like. Some bubbles frothing at the end but they are certainly more active than my 5/16 gravity tubing.
