This is cool to know. The house next to my parents place has one of those trees. It threw me for a loop. I'd seen it's fall foliage and the bark from about twenty yards away thought it was a red maple, but one summer I got a close look at the leaves and thought it was a silver. I also thought I was slipping in my tree identifying ability because I was so certain previously it was a red. So, this is pretty cool to know there's a tree that is a cross between a red and silver.
