"Estate" made Syrup

My brother-in-law let me tap his trees, and is insisting that we label the syrup "estate" batch.

He may even want that sap boiled separately. Part of me wants to appease him, but otherwise it will be much easier to boil it all together. I just have not heard of any such term - is he confusing it with a winery?, or am I missing something here?

If you collect enough to run a separate batch, then go for it. Otherwise, dear brother-in-law will never know the difference if you tell him it's his sap. We won't tell if you don't. ;) He obviously has no concept of how time intensive this process is.
