Slow starts?

Hi everyone,
Quick question…. Have you guys ever noticed your sap flowing slow the first three or four days of ideal temps? We tapped on Sat it was 35, Sun 40, Mon 45 today 50, we have a guzzler that we are still tweaking, in the three or so days that the pump has been running we got about 2 gallons in the tank with most lines with sap in them. We have about 30 taps on this line, with another 40 or so waiting to be added in. We are just perplexed as to why we aren't getting more sap.

Under all the snow, the base of the tree is frozen. That's my theory anyway. We got rain today and after that warm water ran down the trunks and thawed some of the base, it started running much better here.
