Tapped in New Milford

We hung 35 buckets over the weekend in anticipation of the warming trend but have seen very low flows so far. About a quart per bucket in two or three days. Hardly worth collecting.

Yield this year to date is 65% of last year with similar sugar content. Decent output the last few days with overflowing buckets.

We are about the same but it has been flowing non stop since Friday and for such a late season may make 8 gallons in one week from 66 taps. That would make two first this year. Boiling later than April 4th and making 1/2 our season in one week. Let's hope it continues.
