Ill qualify with im new to this. With that being said, I have seen alot of talk about using the Shurflo pumps for vac. For those using it, are you increasing from 5/16 to Half inch at the pump? For my noob question. How can the transition be made from 5/16 to the 1/2 this pump requires?

Get a 1/2 to 1/4 FPT adapter and then get a 5/16 (1/4 will work too) nipple with 1/4 MPT and attach your 7/16 line to it and clamp it. Teflon tape all your threads

Most people are using main line with the pump (3/4 " )

I use this (http://www.mapleguys.com/product/M4M12.html) part. You can buy caps for unused receivers...

I made a manifold for my Shurflo, I use 1/2" mainline and attach most fitting with clear hose, gives me working room and a snug fit. The white plastic is also 1/2".
I will do a new post on what I did today for a manifold. Proud of myself, lol.

I guess I did mine a little differently. I use a PVC 1/2" elbow threaded on both ends. One end is connected to the pump and on the other end I have a star fitting with my 5/16" lines connected to it. I keep the lines tight by terminating them using a hook adapter on a nail on the side of a tree and a length of tubing from there to the pump.

I ordered a 4008 today along with all the fittings. they should be in Thursday. All should be in by Friday. I got about 2.5 gallons over the past 2 days. Im hoping this pump can have the effects it had on you all.
