Welcome to the world of high vacuum! You're gonna love it.

Nice work Mike! Don't be surprised if it drops a little when it warms up. Some of those little vacuum leaks pop up when the lines thaw. Regardless, you are on your way. Enjoy

Mike that looks nice, but what really is awesome is looking at a collection tank and seeing what 27" can do. My woods stinks, it looks like a telephone pole farm, but with good vacuum I can still get 2 gallons of sap on an average run.

I don't mean to be pessimistic, but the glycerin-filled gauges need to be "burped". Often. I learned on the other forum about this. I need to vent mine every day, and the needle wil move to the correct point. Today I had over 30 on the gauge! Impossible! Burped it by lifting the rubber grommet thing with a real small screwdriver. Back to 27.

Congratulations...now the work begins....keeping the gauge that high and getting it higher.
Enjoy the sap that is coming your way.
