Hi folks, new to the forum. This is my 7th year sugaring, and it seems like every year I go about it a different way. This year I'm trying a homemade cinder block stove, so we will see.

Just wanted to update that I tapped 20 trees in Geauga county, and they are flowing real good. I'm using buckets.

Excited as this season is finally underway!

hey there! Have all my tubing tapped and about 150 of my buckets still have 200 of those to do, probably by nxt. wknd. snow just too deep to get where I need to be. Where are you located in Burton?

Hi! I'm on Butternut near Claridon Troy. Where are you? I had a little flow yesterday, about 3/4 gallons per tap. Hoping the sun comes out today!

Have you seen the tubing and the buckets at Grandview Golf Course, thats where I'm at. I have between 5-600 taps on tubing and another 3-400 buckets. Most buckets I looked at last night had very little in and a lot had not even started running. My one 350gal. tank had around 75gal. in it. I need 100gal. just to fill the evaporator, so unless I get 3-400gal. it's not worth firing it up. Hopefully the trees will thaw soon. Right now the season doesn't look to promising, wait and see I guess.

Yep I've seen those tubes out for years. Sounds like a pretty big operation, but lots of fun. Today's not looking too good for sap. Good luck!
