tapping damaged trees

In late january I dropped 6 big ash trees tallest was 93' with 2' stump height amazing what a little bug can do.

when dropping these tree's they took off some uppers branches of sugar maples trees would you tap those trees this year?they are 16 inchers plus
guess wouldn't be any worst than ice storm damage

The broken branches will drip sap throughout the spring, but they should be fine to tap.
