I have to laugh at myself for how this season is going to be this year. Admitting I have been tapping too small of trees for the last couple years, I will leave them this year and tap less trees and have less sap to boil.
With that in mind, I now laugh at my previous situation of improving items in order to increase the boil rate over the last few years. Copper preheater line, larger arch, really dry wood, AUF blower, monster stack etc.
Well, I ENJOY my time around the arch boiling down, and now this year has me wondering how to SLOW down the boil since I will have less sap.
Blower for rent if your in my area, :lol:
It just strikes me funny how things change.
If someone said a couple years ago I would want to slow down my boil I would think they were crazy, well,,, maybe I am the crazy one.
Maybe I just need sap to flow so I can get busy instead of reading about sap flowing elsewhere,,,,, geesh !!
