Hi all, first post here and a complete newbie to sugaring. We bought an old farmhouse this Fall and I wasn't thinking about collecting sap at that time otherwise I would have marked the maples by the remaining leaves.
I snagged a lot of 10 buckets, covers and taps for a steal so here I am wanting to do a small batch to teach myself the ropes but have only the bark and bare limbs to judge trees by. Would any more experienced member be willing to help me ID a few trees?
Here goes.
I am 99% sure this is a maple - does the long shaggy bark indicate a mature sugar maple?

I'm less sure about this tree but it's in the same vicinity and seems to have opposite terminal limbs:

Now, these trees seem to have the same opposing small twig/limbs at the ends but the bark looks quite different:

Finally, there are two giant mature trees of this look right in my backyard but I was thinking they were oaks:
