Absolutely, my question is- Why would you not do the best for your customers day in and day out? That is the competition that really matters!
To learn how, I suggest you read Mountainvan's posts. He does not have a filter press, but his syrup is crystal clear.

Yes two year ago won Best of show for our syrup at local county fair. I think our clarity on gravity filters was as good as a filter press. The press just makes it easier:)

Gravity filtering will get you results that are just as good as a filter press but it may take longer. I've had to re-filter syrup for competition so I added a bit of DE and gravity filtered the 180 F syrup into a glass carafe and it came out crystal clear!
