Has anyone used beer bottles for canning the finished syrup? We have made beer before and have a bottle "capper". Will it work ?

I think it would work fine. Glass container and a metal cap=what others do.

I use Grolsch bottles sometimes. They have the "swing & lock" cap that is built in. This makes it possible to re-seal it before you put it back in the fridge. The only problem that I see with using a regular beer bottle is how do you seal the bottle back up after you open it the first time? I usually use a lot of syrup, but typically not a full bottle at each sitting, haha.

The beer I drink has twist off caps. They twist back on too. Wondering if that would seal enough to store without refrigeration. Anyone tried it? Thanks.
