Anybody have experience with these?

Just bought one to try out. Put a gauge on it set up on my dining room table and it pulls around 10" Hg, dry. Sounds low but giving it the "touch" test, you can feel pretty good suction on the 5/16" line I have attached. We'll see how well it does with sap flowing (and a little gravity assist) in a couple weeks. It should definitely help. Anybody else have vacuum measurements with this type of pump?

Just got one in the mail today, found it for $68 online so I thought I'd give it a try on 25-30 taps. Picked up a filter and a pressure gauge too so I know if it's actually doing something. I'll post back when I get it put together and try it.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. just bought one a couple weeks ago. I have a bigger operation so we'll see if it does anything at all. But I figure any vacuum, has to be better then no vacuum at all.
