I am installing our new Badgerland 2 x 6 and thought we best look into a hood.

I am ALWAYS interested in repurposing especially when all the money was spent on the new rig.

Today I scoured a 36 x 70 x about 30" deep old commercial stainless hood. I got it for scrap price.

It is rectangular and had two openings on top, and needs a bath. I was looking to passive vent it with a 12" round pipe.

Any tips,.......do this,...don't do that's?

Thanks!

Pete

Pete,
12 inch is plenty enough. I have 12 inch on a rig that gets 100 GPH and have no trouble keeping the steam out of the room.

I always wondered what those ladies of night did in the day, apparently some have taken up tin knocking!
