I have access to galvanized furnace tin and want to make a hood for my 1/2 pint.
Would the galvanized tin be a problem. I wondered about water condensing and falling back into the pan off of the galvanized metal.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks

A properly built hood with drain troughs shouldn't drip much back into the pan.

I don't think it would be that difficult if you have the proper equipment. If its thin enough you could bend it on a coil brake (for bending aluminum like around house windows). You can rent one pretty reasonable. Make a gutter inside the hood as previously posted. Something like a inch bend with a half inch lip. Then seal corners with silicone and drain from a low corner.
