addin a blower to my 275 oil tank arch

just a question on adding a blower to my oil tank arch. i plan on putting the pipe that comes off the blower threw the back of the fire box, and my question is do i need to make the air blow up threw the fire or do i just blow it in towards the front of the fire box under the grates, i want to keep it as simple as possible . thanks alot.

I put mine under the grates through the ashdoor

Just have the blower blow straight into the area under your grate, no need to have it point upwards, the blower will get the air up there no problem.
