Door/flue sealant

I'm getting closer to the finish line with my arch build. I bought a barrel stove kit and would like to know what I should use to seal the door and flue collar to the arch. Or should I just not worry about it. I was thinking of using a bead of high temp silicone before I bolt them on. Is there something that would work better?

You could use the high temp silicon, but frankly I wouldn't bother, especially if you aren't using forced air.

OK. Thanks for the reply. I don't think I will be using forced air this year but I may try it if I can come up with a decent blower.
