Richard is going to try to go th the hydrometer clinic in Concord on the 17th. I would like to go but my regular job is interfering with my maple time. I went to the reginal meeting in Henniker last night. They gave each paid member a nice sign and some cards to explain the new grading system. This season is a transition season as far as the new grading system goes. You can use the old standard if you want but I am jumping right in and using the new system right from the start.

They told us at the Annual this year that the only place the NH Department of Agriculture will be checking hydrometers will be at the clinics! State will no longer pay overtime to provide this service at regional meeting! It's a long way form Sullivan county to any of the clinics! So they will still check them for you when they visit your sugar house!

yeah they will still check them if they come to your sugarhouse... as far as I know anyway. they have to check your syrup anyway so why not.
I missed the regional meeting in Henniker I thought it was thursday because that was how it was originally done on the NHMPA website.(which was laid out very confusing) then I went back on Wed. just to double check because its usually on Tuesday and of course it was tuesday they changed it. GRRRRR I am gonna send an email to robin pearl to see if I can still get some cards and poster somehow.
