Hi folks,
Can I use good, old Rutland Hi Temp Stove cement for firebricking my evaporator or do I have to buy refractory cement? The Rutland compound available at my local hardware store states that it is used for firebrick. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks much,
Dan

My first arch that is what I used. I wasn't impressed with how it held up. The second time I bought dry mix and it worked a lot better. It was a 6 gallon bucket. Not cheap! I think it cost about $80. I still have a lot.
