I've got to ask if anyone has had this experience.
I was repositioning one of my main lines yesterday. I drilled a 5/16 pilot hole into a hickory to set an eye lag. When I removed the drill bit, I heard a hissing sound. I put my ear up to the hole and it was sucking air into the tree. I put my finger over it and of course it stopped. Removed my finger and it continued another few seconds and then quit.
Anyone know? Vaccume in a hollow spot of the tree? Just curious if anyone else had this happen to them or it was a fluke experience.
