Maple Sap is flowing in East Tennessee - 1/25/15

Two of my test taps were dripping about once every second.

I tapped 14 more trees and 4 of the 14 had a stream of sap coming out as soon as I inserted the tap.


2 buckets were half full after about 4 hours being tapped.


Not a lot of folks make syrup in this part of the country, but after making two whole pints last year.....IM HOOKED ! ! !

Awesome! Where in TN are you? I have some ties in TN, but none that make syrup.

Sounds great to hear sap is flowing, we will all get our turn at it. too early here in Wisconsin, have fun with it.
