Minimum End Tree Size?

What's the smallest sized tree I can use to support the end of a 5/16" line? There is an ornamental tree right next to a driveway that would make a perfect spot to set up a collection barrel. It's only 3" diameter where I would come in with the dead end Y.

The thing is, it is not my tree. I'd hate to have the guy's nice tree leaning over come April, but if it is strong enough, it would make pick ups a breeze.

I do not have a tree at the end.. I just run it into the barrel.. Seems to work fine. I poked holes into the barrel lid with a big punch, from the inside out. left a bit of a flare pointing up.

Sorry for not being clear. It's a gravity line that will have 35-40 taps on it. There's about 30' from the last tap to where I want to put the barrel next to the driveway. The line will be a tight, straight shot and then drop down into the barrel.
