3/4 hp airblo question

So i have a airblo 3/4 hp pump and it runs fine my question is the releaser i have seems very sluggish while it dumps " switching side to side"! Could it be the lube i used on it or could it be the pump doesnt have enough cahunas to make it swing properly. What size releaser do others use with these pumps ? Doubles, singles , hobby size ?????

What brand is the releaser?

I have bernard double and lapierre double same releaser except the mechanism the lapierre is a little faster.

Well i probly screwed up when i got the releaser i got a d&g double. Its only on about 400 taps so i was thinking of setting that one aside and getting the small 500 tap lapierre one?

I wouldn't say you screwed up I don't know anything about D&G releasers though. Some releasers are slower than others maybe it is not slow did you buy it used or new? 3/4 says 8cfm 800-1000 taps. What did your gauge say? If you don't hear leaks and its reading good on the gauge it should be good.

It shouldn't have any trouble running that releaser. I have that same Airablo pump that I run 400 taps on. A couple years ago we lost power during sugaring season and I didn't have a big enough generator to run my big pump on my 6000 tap woods. I plugged that little pump into the generator and it had no trouble running a 6000 tap bernard horizontal releaser.
I have that same D&G double vertical. Did you try loosening the nut on the slide? Mine was a little tight when I got it. Loosened the nut about a quarter of a turn And now switches sides smoother.

Your vacuum line is a reservoir. The larger the line the more vacuum reserve you have. Use a 1" vacuum line and the releaser will dump faster.

The releaser is made to accept 1 1/2" pipe. I would not use any smaller than that.

Ditto. i use the same pump with the small BHR double vertical and make out fine. Ive got 26-27" at the releaser.
