Southern Maine Maple Sugarmakers Assoc is hosing a workshop this coming Saturday Jan 27th, 2007.
9:00am to 3:00pm
At
UCC at North Gorham
Members and non members are welcome to attend. Cost is $5.00 per person(members and non members).
Coffee, Donuts and Juice, & Lunch Included.
Morning Session will be on Sugar Bush Management and Thinning.
Afternoon Session will be a round table discussion on following topics:
#1 Sweet sap from the silver maple? Tappable tree in a few years with 3-5% sugar content?
#2 Its time to tap are you ready, and is your equipment clean?
#3 Hydrometers - Syrup and Sap
#4 Maple Syrup off flavors
#5 Weather?
#6 Please bring idea's & topics on your mind.
