aluminum float box

is it ok to use aluminum for a float box? the only reason i ask is i can mig this and do it myself

Pop cans and stock pots are made out of aluminum. Wouldn't see why not.

Hi 12 Rubicon ,as to ur question , u maybe ok ,with just the sap in it ??? ... However if u put/leave maple sugar in a aluminum stock pot - first it will darken it ,and even corrode holes right threw it ! Really, would be best to use Stainless Steel , so u know whats in ur syrup !
