Evaporator Arch question

im going to be building a arch and was wondering why the ash door has to be in front on an airtight arch? does it make a difference. anybody build one with the ash door on the side?

I think Sunrise (Amish) offer one with 2 fill doors, both on one side. They likely have the draft doors on the side.

I do not think it would matter. It is probably standard to have it in the front because you will always have that area open because of the doors. If on the side you would have to make sure you set the evaporator far enough away from the wall.
