Hi folks,
I have a new stainless flat pan for this year. It will sit on top of a basic arch made of block and fire brick. I would like to add a drain at one end with a good valve.
What recommendations would you have? Is there a good spot to get something like that?
Thank you for your input!

Something like This (http://www.amazon.com/Weldless-Stainless-Steel-Valve-Spigot/dp/B0028ZLEE6/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1420513348&sr=8-10&keywords=stainless+ball+valve) might do the trick if you can't weld or know anyone who can.

Get a 1" long 3/4" s.s. coupling and find a local welder to put on for $25 or $30. Tell him you need it as close to the bottom of the pan as possible.

Perfect! I saw bulk head adapters but nothing specific to food grade products. I just ordered one! Now I just need that 7/8" drill bit! LOL

What SeanD said might be a better choice. But if you don't feel like dealing with a metal shop then by all means try it yourself. It will just be a bit more difficult to get your drain to the lowest point of the pan because of the threads/nut. They have stainless step drill bits at Lowes/HD that go to 7/8". Good luck.
