pan to pan transfer tube

ok guys long story short, the guy that made one of my pans got the dividers in wrong, these are 2 flat pans, question is, do i need to have the dividers changed or will a longer tube work? (sorry my drawings suck lol)--this is a pic of my current set-up10244

That would be no different than a reversable cross flow pans. They have a long pipe going to the front.

What would you suggest as the best thing to use as the tube, copper,stainless, does this tube need to be the same size as the one that connects the float box to the rear pan? Thank you for all the help!

Stainless would be best same diameter as ports.

what size ports would you guys suggest, these are 2x3 divided flat pans

I would assume that the port is already in if the pan is done and a larger line will not help much. What size did he put in? 3/4 inch would work good and you could get by with 1/2 inch but bigger is better in those Oh Shat moments.

ok thanks guys, yes both pans have 1/2" ports as close to the bottom as he could get, so i will stay with them, i run my pans at 3/4 to 1" deep, will the 1/2" ports hinder this, i figured being flat pans it would be ok?

I would run at least 3/4". You would gain some flow even with the 1/2" ports.

I Would go small.. if it is already 1/2 in stay with that.. the bigger the pipe, the more sap you have sitting out of the fire. I used to feed my entire 2x6 raised flue with a 3/8 line and never starved it. If you are running that deep, you would have to take quite a nap to have any disaster .. and then it would be because you ran out of sap to your back pan.
