Has anyone used the uniseals in a sap releaser? Working on building an electric releaser and they look cool but will they seal and are they as easy as they say to instal? Any tips?

I used uniseals when building my releaser. Some swear by them others say they might leak. Mine don't leak. You have to cut the right size hole in the tank and use the right size pipe to go through the uniseal. That information is provided by uniseal. I found I needed a rubber mallet to pound the pipe through. I think I used soapy water to make it slide through easier. Mind don't leak after 4 years. The other option is to get a tap and cut threads in the tank wall. I figured the uniseals were a less expensive option since I didn't have taps that size. Also the pipes going through the uniseals don't have to go through the tank exactly 90 degrees to the tank. That made it easier to get the pipes coming from the woods attached to the pipes going through the uniseals.

Another option is to use a pitless adapter like those used in well heads.
