What would have a better seal for syrup in glass?(cork or caps)

Glass is my opinion,as the cork will breath and shrink over a longer period of time

caps definitely...i dont think cork will hot pack

Cap not cork...I would be concerned with:
the cork lodging deep in the neck of the bottle due to the vacuum that is produced when the syrup cools and shrinks,
the cork absorbing moisture and being a site for mold growth sooner than would a cap seal.
