So I'm adding a gast oil less pump this year and I wondering if outside under cover would work or if temperature will make a difference?

I would put at the least, put a roof over it. you will thank yourself in the long run when the pump lasts longer.

Outside is a good location for free flowing air to keep the pump cooler. In a shaded area is better than in the sun to keep the temp lower. Consider how high the snow can get from drifting is always a bid factor.

I was gonna put it I'm the rafters of the wood shed. Close to power and it will keep the noise down in the sugar house

I think that will work fine for you. Most gast pumps don't get very hot. In my opinion they are underrated pumps.
