Hog wash, the more that sap goes up and down the tree the sweeter it will be. May be that it will only take 30 gals to make a gal of syrup.

You just got to think positive. Having a negative attitude is no good.

It starts out talking about apples and the growing season for them in Vt and how Vermonters are also worried about the maple season. A very short article. Not many facts to back anything up. You did not miss much.

Look at the picture of the reporter, she don't look like she would know maple syrup if it was all over her. Just another citified chick that talks out her A@#!

She feels like a big time reporter getting her story on the front page. But someone in the maple business has probably already told her that she don't know s&$t.

Mike,

I think you are all over it. Anything to make news although I am sure there are concerned producers. There are many in VT that this is the majority of their yearly income, so I would be a little concerned if I was them too. Me, it is our income to pay for a family vacation and for Christmas, so if I missed a season, it wouldn't be a huge deal. Just try to make it up somewhere else. :D

Mike-

I looked around on the internet, and I did see a picture of her with maple syrup on her. She was smiling....

It must have been an experiment with global warming, because she must have been in a warmer than normal spot, since she didn't need clothes either. HA 8)

I agree with you, just trying to get the BIG scoop and be a hero. Got to keep pumping the global warming doomsday to everyone.
