Small Production

Much smaller backyard production this year. Only used the pure blood Maples and excluded the two taps in the Box Elders.

Got six pints from my 6 Maple taps. Excellent flavor and I believe the sugar content was higher this year as I got a much better sap to syrup ratio.

WTG Jeff!! That's a really good ratio, must be a high sugar content in your sap. I assume you're using lids on your pails??

Out of curiosity, why you using the turkey fryer?
