Just wondering...I'm having no problems getting C$22.50/L, C$13.25/500mL...no questions asked people are happy. That's ~C$85/U.S.gal (although I'm not selling in that quantity.) Just wondering what others are getting retail.

Cheers,
Russ

Congratulations on your price structure that is really good.
Go to your local grocery store and understand what you get for what dollar.
I believe as a local producer you can get more for quality local syrup.
Here in the US I use Walmart selling Maple Grove at $19.99 US Quart as a basis of discussion.
Have a short 1 minute or less story about your sugarbush. (Often called your elevator story)
Sell your quality product above the retail price by $1. to $2.
If you don't have competitors in your neighborhood it is easier then when you have 40 people selling in one local area.
Go make money for your hard work!!!

I had started a thread about this awhile ago. Just too many variables. We sell for what we think is fair and what people will buy. this is a luxury product so there is a limit. We get $15.00 for a qt.

IF someone wants my syrup it is 20 per qt..
with that said yesterday I saw Canadian syrup at Sams club for 13 per qt. and Canadian syrup at ALDI foods for 3.99 for 8.5 oz ( glass) I am not even going to consider pricing based on that.

I sell for $12.50 per quart (Organic). I sell $8.00 Pint. Those are the only sizes I sell. This does not include shipping. Most all the syrup I sell goes to Alaska and overseas.

I sell $52 gal, $27 half gal, $17 qts, $10 pints and $6 half pints, except B sells for $45 gal (only available in Gal. in NYS). My gal and half gal prices are so close, because I sell lots in half gal when I'm shipping, I use USPS flat rate medium boxes, 2 1/2 gal jugs in the box, thus cheaper for the customer, that shipping a gal to them.
I'm thinking of raising my prices because the season was so slow, might go to $56.00 gal and then cascade down from there.

Dave, those are our prices and we are doing the same thing using the flat rate boxes! I had to check twice to see if maybe I has posted that in a drunken haze and forgot!.

I might add that the Large Flat Rate box will hold three 1/2 gallon plastic jugs.
