flow sensor for sap sucker

In one of Parker's posts he talks about a flow sensor that turns on a vac. pump based on when the sap is running...wondering if this from the grangier catalog is something like that

like that idea for a sap sucker as it sounds like you can cook the tubing in the sap sucker if it doesn't have sap in the tubes

also wondering about electic motor reccomondations for converting a 3hp gas motor to electric for a sap sucker ...what size do I need, etc...

any input appreciated...
